In the address book you have Contacts with groups as sub catagories. While
the address book is open you can click on the group and pick through the
names for selection. Is there a way to do this in a new or forwarded
message. In a new or forwarded message the address book doesn't allow me to
open the group catagories and pick through the addresses. I have to send it
to the whole group but I only want to send it to a select few in the group.
My contacts folder is over five hundred entries and I need some way of
seperating them so I don't spend so much time trying to find a few names.

Thanks

Define what you mean by group and sub categories. Your terminology is
confusing.
Outlook does not use groups.
Categories do not appear in the Address Book.
You can create separate Contacts subfolders and enable them as electronic
address books. Then each of these subfolders will appear within the Outlook
Address Book.

I know I am confusing. Thats probably why I can't figure it out myself.

How do I set up seperate Contacts subfolders and enable them as electronic
address books?

I have only one contacts folder and there are over 500 addresses in it.
Most of the addresses I don't really need anymore (past customers) but I
would like to keep the information for use down the road. If I could set
up another contacts folder and move them into it would be helpful. This way
I am not searching through hundreds of addresses to find two or three.

I hope this makes sense, I don't know any other way to explain it. I
believe if I could set up other contact folders to seperate some of the
addresses would be a help.

I am referring to a group as a sub category under a contact folder. A group
would be a list of addresses combined. Outlook ask for a group or contact
when you choose New. To me it uses groups.

I think the seperate Contacts group would probably be what I am needing.
How do I create a new Contacts subfolder?

Thanks
