errors... I get the following errors when I try to delete
an e-mail

"Errors have been detected in the file C:\Documents and
Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook\look.pst. Quit all mail enabled
applications, and then use the Inbox Repair Tool"

I've used the tool, reinstalled Outlook 2000, and Office
2000 to no avail.I can't find this particular file as
shown above.

Witts end, please help. Cannot delete nor send mail out.

What file can't you find -- the .PST file? If you're using Windows 2000
or XP, it's hidden -- search in hidden and system folders and you'll
find it.

Bill, I assume that you are working in XP...they hid
the .pst file...just go to your MS Explorer and
choose "folder" options...then select the proper option
to show hidden files and your path will appear, unless
your administrator has locked you out....of course, once
you see this file you can't do anything with it, because
it contains all the cryptics within the file....do you
still have an old backup of your .pst file from a
previous back up? You may want to try to "import" this
file by using the import feature on Outlook. I was able
to restruct all my directories using this command
sequence.

Good Luck,

Peter

p.s. I wish they would give us a better backup
tool...this file can get so large...I usually try to keep
the file to around 100 m/b some folks drive it to 800
m/b and get into trouble...pg..pg..
