Can I fax from outlook 2000, by going to file fax
recipeint? If not what version of outlook can I fax from?

Outlook has no built-in fax other than the buggy and unreliable WinFax SE in
Internet only mode of Outlook 2000. Other than that it would depend on which
fax software you're using and how and if it integrates at all with Outlook.
At worst you usually can interface with most fax software by using the fax
printer driver that is installed for most fax software.
