OUTLOOK 2000 & VISTA

If anyone out there can help me.. I have currently installed Outlook 2000 on
my new Gateway that uses Vista... IUntil I get the upgrad to 2007, I seem
not to be able to add contacts .. message .. "eror registeriung on OLE
registry"..

Is there a work around?
Also, when I open ol 2000 A pop up keeps asking me about previous verions
installed, Do you want to use them?"..

Is there a back up that I can use, so when I get 2007 , I can reistall the
..pst

Any and all help appreciated.
 
Your .pst file will be fine. As for Office 2000, it is not fully supported on Windows Vista - it was not even tested with Vista since it is out of support for several years now.

outlook 2003 works fine with vista....
i donot know about 2000
 
You could use Windows Mail, then when you get OL2003 or OL2007, export you
Mail msgs to OL.
Then in OL open your old OL2k pst, to copy stuff to the new data file.
 
OUTLOOK 2000 is fully compatible with Vista IF you - -
Use Explorer to navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\System
Copy wab32.dll and wab32res.dll to C:\Windows\System32
