Using Outlook 2000 SR-1 and Win98 SE. I receive email messages just fine.
When I create a message it goes into the send items folder and acts as if it
is sent. However, no email is actually sent or error message generated.
I have watched the logs on my SMTP server and see Outlook did not even
attempt to connect to the SMTP server. But, from the computer I can telnet
into my SMTP server. So, Outlook should be able to see the SMTP server and
connect to it.
I have turned on the Outlook logs and see no sending activity or error
messages on the SMTP side, just the inbound pop activity.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook, as well as deleted and recreated
the service information.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Paul
