Dear Friends:

My outlook 2000 is constantly hanging or "freezing"
whenever I try to open it. I have been re-booting and
this hasn't really helped.

Does anyone know what's wrong or have any suggestions
about how I might try to fix it? I reinstalled MS Office
2000 as well as SR1a and SP3 and am still having trouble.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm really
frustrated.

Thanks.

Close Outlook. Find and rename outcmd.dat to outcmd.old. Reopen Outlook.
(Note - if you are using Windows 2000 or XP, you need to enable searching
hidden and system files.)

Hi Milly:

Thanks for taking the time to help me.

I tried changing outcmd.dat and opening outlook and it
didn't work

Might you have any other suggestions?

Thanks.

Appreciatively,

Bill Murphy

Does it open in safe mode? Try opening Outlook with the /safe switch.
If you need help using Outlook command line switches, look here:
