Meeting requests are sent to me as regular mail. This
means I have to manually type in the information in my
calendar. Is there a setting, patch or 3rd party software
that will make this automatic?

Important to know :

-I use Outlook 2000 sp3
-I am not using exchange. I use pop3 mail.
-The senders of these requests also have Outlook 2000,
but _do_ use exchange (and no - I can't connect to that
exchange server as it is on another physical network)

I have searched high and low for an answer to this - so
please, If anyone knows.. help me!

Ask the senders to mark your address in their contacts folder for rich-text.
They'll need to double-click the underlined email address.

Thank you very much for that answers. It's tested now -
and it works. The problem is that I think I will have a
hard time getting the 20 or 30 people that usually calls
me in to all do this.. Is there any other way? Except
upgrading that is? This seems to work fine on my outlook
2003 at home - so is that functionality just not in
Outlook 2000?

Exactly. Outlook 2000 doesn't have the same options as later versions.
