I have ten outlook client having problems with outlook
2000 and adding one or two per day.
I have the users logging into the domain and after this
they try and open outlook but for all ten users every time
they need to type in the user name and password before
they can check mail.
I have 1,300 with no trouble they logon to the domain then
open outlook and it opens without asking for user name and
password.
I need some help please.

Hey Stephen,

It appears that the authentication method for these ten
users may be set to None on the Exchange server
settings. Open each user's Outlook, go to
tools/services, highlight the exchange server and click
properties, click the Advance tab, change the Logon
Network security option from None to NT Password
Authentication. Click ok until you reach the user's
mailbox and close and reopen Outlook. The user should
not be prompted to logon onto Outlook. Additionally, if
the users in question have laptops and they work
remotely, if their domain password has expired and they
have not connected to the network to change it then the
Exchage server is out of sync with the Domain controller
so the user must authenticate to the Exchange server
until they change/update their domain password. If this
is not the case, then you may need to get with your
Exchange admin for each of these users to make sure that
their Exchange accounts are tied to thier domain user ids.

good luck
