Hi All,

I have MS Office Professional installed on my computer. I want to be able to
set up Outlook 2000 Newsreader. However, when I try to set up the Newsreader,
Outlook Express ver 6 (with all the current updates installed) pops up.

How can I set up Outlook 2000 to use the Newsreader instead of Outlook
Express?

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Thank you,
Mary

Sorry I forgot!!

Additional information.. I'm using I have MS Office Professional 2000

Thanks again,
Mary

Outlook is not and never has been a newsreader.
Use OE or the news reader of your choice.

Mary what may have had you confused is that if you launch via the "News"
command which I think is on the Go menu then it launched "Outlook
Newsreader" which in reality is Outlook Express with some bits missing. You
can get the same bits missing by creating a shortcut with this as the path
statement "C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" /outnews.
