Outlook 2000 - Multi-User Schedules

Here's my question:

I have a small business - there are four people total - all of us on
computers running WinXP Home or Pro - all of us using PocketPC's of one
Make/Model or another.

Ideally, what I need to happen is, for whatever person is out doing
sales - that they be able to have every other person's schedule's on
their PocketPC (therefore knowing which person can take a meeting if
the sales call goes on to the next level) and can then enter an
appointment with that client and have it sync with everyone's schedules
when they get back to the office.

I've heard that we can link everyone's calendar to a shared file on the
network we have set up in the office (just a simple LAN setup - DSL
into wireless access point/Hub - out to four computers and an old
desktop that we're using as a simple file server) - but we each use our
PocketPC's for personal use as well - and don't really need nor want
the others to view our other personal entries if we can help it (I
really don't need to know that my partner has his yearly colonoscope
coming up ).

I don't have our Outlook 2000 setup as corporate/workgroup right now (I
have it setup as internet e-mail retrieving our email from a POP3
server), but unless I'm mistaken, I can reconfigure if needed.

I'm sure I'm forgetting to mention some vital information that
hopefully someone can ask me in order to help me come up with a
solution - for instance, I do not have an exchange server.

Help.

You've heard wrong. Outlook doesn't share its files, although you can use the NetFolders feature in Outlook 2000 to share data via special email messages.

It's something of a moot point, though, unless you want each person to have every other person's data in their Calendar (confusing), since ActiveSync synchronizes only your main Calendar folder.
