I am having problems with Outlook 2000 where it freezes when I start. I
have tried the solution brought up a couple times. "Close Outlook. Find
and rename outcmd.dat to .old. (If using Windows 2000
or XP, you will need to enable searching hidden and system folders.)
Once you have done so, reopen Outlook and it should open fine."
Unfortunately that solution did not work and I still can not open
Outlook. Any other solutions?

Please help thanks.

Try opening Outlook using the ".../Safe" switch. This will
perhaps allow you to open Outlook in Safe mode which disables
all automation that may be hanging you up. However, you still want
to identify the culprit of the hang. The article in the link below will
outline how to use the ".../Safe" switch.

OL2000: Additional Command-Line Switches:

Try using the "Detect and Repair" tool on the HELP menu if you
get Outlook open.

Also try:

Close outlook, find and delete all these files in a single attempt:

outcmd.dat
extend.dat
frmcache.dat

Then launch outlook.

(If using Windows 2000 or XP, you will need to enable searching
hidden and system folders.)

Any help?
