Windows Me (all updates)
MS Office 2000 (all updates)
IE6 (all updates)
Changed from dial-up to DSL using PPPoE (Enternet 300)

I just changed over from a dial-up service to a DSL service (RCN dialup to
SBC DSL). Everything seems fine except for one thing---both Outlook Express
and Outlook (I use Outlook as my default email program) do not recognize
that I have set-up my DSL POP3 account as the *default* account. For each
program (Outlook and Outlook Express), two different things happen;
*Outlook* actuates my dial-up account dialer (DUN-?) when launched. I
haven't been able to change this. *Outlook Express* can find and recieve
mail from the new DSL POP3 account for that *specific launch of the program*
by selecting the DSL account in Accounts. But if I quit Outlook Express and
relaunch it, it defaults to my old dial-up *and* actually gets my dial-up
account mail over my DSL connection (read--it doesn't lauch the DUN dialer).

I have IE 6 (Tools>Internet Options>Connectsions) set to Never dial.

Any help is appreciated.

Sitting here at work I think I figured it out. On the General tab for email
account Properties I have the this checkbox checked in *both* accounts:

"Include this account when receiving mail or synchronizing"

I have to uncheck it in my *old* dial-up account (wasn't even looking there
when trying to fix this). I kept loooking at all the settings in my new DSL
account.

I'll have to try this when I get home but I'm 99.9% sure this is the cause.
