Happy Xmas
I'm running Win XP Pro, Office 2000, all updated.

After entering a contact name in the "find a contact"
box, the contact(s) are found - but Outlook "Encounters a
problem and needs to close".
I had this problem a month or so ago and sorted it out by
following a newsgroup posting that detailed a fix for
egistry corruption. The posting advice worked.
Now its happened again and I can't find the posting!
Can anyone help?
More importantly, any advice to prevent this from
recurring?

Many thanks,
Stuart

Russ
That's the one!
I did this fix (and it worked) a while ago and I also
have SR1 / 1a installed. Any ideas?
Many thanks for your rapid response
Happy Christmas

The only new information I can find on this since the release of SR1
involves using a handheld device called Pocket Mirror. It appears that when
a user synchronizes with his handheld his QuickFindMRU gets corrupted.

Hi Russ
Is this the Pocket Mirror Palm used to sync with Outlook?
I had a Palm a while ago - now use a Pocket PC - but this
s/w was removed a few formats and re-installs ago!!

I've downloaded the exe of SR1 and wil re-install it to
see - a nice Xmas holiday job....
Thanks for your responses

Intresting. I also have SR-1 installed but recently got this "find

Palm. Solutions?
