When I try to send a new message from Contacts, the address list is not displayed. This problem is described in Microsoft Base Article 319901: "OL Error if You Use Yor Contacts to address a new Message", but the article refers to Outlook 2002 and 2003, not 2000, and the instructions do not apply to my version of Outlook.
This problem surfaced suddenly. I have used Outlook for years with no problems before now.

Do you have Outlook 2000 configured in Internet Mail Only mode or in
Corporate/Workgroup mode? If you're not sure, look at the second line of
Help | About Microsoft Outlook.

Do you have the Outlook Address Book service in your profile (check Tools |
Services)?

Sorry, there are 4 entries: Active folders, personal folders, Internet e-mail, outlook address book

OK -- take a look at http://www.slipstick.com/contacts/oloab.htm#cw, just
the first paragraph and the list of three steps underneath it. Those steps
should get you up and running again.
