Dr. Brian

In attempting to secure an older system (running Windows 2000 and Office
2000) by adding a login password, apparently this wiped out or eliminated the
pathway to the file where all our Outlook calendar information had been
stored in the old, unsecured profile.

I need to recover this data and have not been able to find where Outlook
stored this information. Unfortunately, I had not been using a .pst file
prior to attempting to make this change. We will be using .pst in the future.

How can I recover the "lost" data?

Did you use an Exchange account? If not, then you definitely were using a
PST and it's likely it would be in C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook. "Local Settings" is a hidden
folder, so you'll have to enable vieing hidden files and folders to browse
to it. The account you use must have permission to read the path as well.
