When I click on the Calendar folder in Outlook 2000 and
change the view to any of the default views, all I am
able to see is the date and the month over each column
heading.

Is there a way of changing the column headings to state
the name of the day, i.e. Monday, Tuesday, etc. instead
of 25 Aug, 26 Aug, etc.

Have you tried to start Outlook using /cleanviews ?

Go to START, then RUN, then type :

outlook /cleanviews

It could help.

Go to Control Panel | Regional Settings and include the day of the week
in your Long Date Format.

I was just about to post the same question, so thanks for your reply. I
have just tried that, and been offered two choices for setting Long Date
Format:

dd mmmm yyyy
d mmmm yyyy

How do I get it to accept 'day of the week'?

I am running Office XP.

Kind regards

OK, sorry, I've cracked this one. Although this is not an option in the
English (UK), it is for English (US).

But the drop down list is not everthing - so it is possible to add: dddd
(as in the English-US) directly into the date field to get :

dddd dd MMMM yyyy

or

dddd d MMMM yyyy

So, one query less.

Now, if I can get the "(7) Week" view showing Sunday as the first
day..........

I'm pretty sure there's no way to change it -- it just works that way.
If you'd like to suggest that this be changed in Outlook 12 and beyond,
feel free to write to Microsoft at (e-mail address removed) (put Outlook in
the subject line). Microsoft does read the e-mails sent to this
address, and the more users requesting a certain feature, the more
likely it will be implemented in the future.

How can I get the calendar view to show PREVIOUS as well
as NEXT month in the upper left hand corner (mini months).
It only seems to print CURRENT and NEXT month and CURRENT
is redundant since the whole calendar is the same.
