Outlook 2000: Any Limitation on Number of Calendar Records?

Is there any limitation on the number of records I can enter on Microsoft
Outlook's calendar? I want to enter many records from 1970 to the present (so
I can searech through them in the future)? I was using Palm Desktop but found
that it has a limit of 10,000 records, above which it "randomly" eliminates
records on the calendar!

If there is a limit (it depends on your Outlook version, which you failed to
mention), it's in excess of 60,000.

Oops. You did include the Outlook version in the subject. I missed it the
first time. The limit is 64K entries.

Brian,
Many thanks. Now,I want to synch my Palm TX with Outlook instead of Palm
Desktop, BUT I want to be sure I don't lose any of my records. IS this a
problem? Can it be done easily?

I have an old Handspring (Palm) that I sync with Outlook using Chapura Pocket
Mirror. I think the newer Palms sync with Outlook directly but mine required
this free 3rd party software available at www.chapura.com. I've been using
it for years and it works great if you need to go that route too.

**Correction** The Chapura Pocket Mirror is not free. My apologies for not
looking it up before I posted.

That is only if the OP has upgraded to large table support. It was not on by default in versions prior to 2003 (could be 2002 but I don't recall off-hand).

Back everything up first, Outlook as well as the Palm. I think you'll need
a third-party sync tool if all you have is Palm Desktop.

Right. On by default in OL 2002 (in fact, MS removed the option in OL
2002).
