Just recently started to have a problem. When I go to
Outlook 2000, it states "Outlook 2000 error message: The
information stroe could not be opened"

In browsing around, it looks like previous Windows
versions point toward secur32.dll files, but I cannot
figure out where "old" one is or how to resotre from XP
discs?

Any ideas?

Try running scanpst.exe against your pst-file and see if it cmes up with
anything.

Are you on an Exchange server? If not make sure you include hidden and
system files and folders when searching for pst-file.

By default it is located in
C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook\

Sorry, critical information missing. Yes, it is an
exchange server connecting over a Cisco VPN client.

Alright. Then first you must check the connection. See whether you can ping
and resolve the name of the Exchange server. You might want to add an entry
of the server in your HOSTS-file.
