my outlook 2007 started acting weirdly suddenly and hogs almost the entire
cpu ..
using Process Monitor revealed, that outlook calls CreateFile to log some
error with WSS a few hundreds of times per second and seems to always fail. I
already attempted to remove all connections i might have to our sharepoint
office site (WSS) such as the shared calender we were using, but no change
here.
e.g.
Operation: CreateFile
result: NAME INVALID
C:\Users\Matthias\AppData\Local\Temp\=?utf-8?B?e0Y2RkU5ODYzLTk3RTEtNDk3NS05RjEyLTZBNTgwMjlCNDlBNn1=?=-21352307-wss-errors.xml
the last OUTLOOK.EXE entry in the stacktrace is GetCurrentDate + 0x1fbbc.
....
I understand that the name is invalid (it obviously is not well formed for
NTFS), but WHY does it do it and HOW can i stop it ?
any helps or insights are greatly appreciated.
