Outlook 07 Delete Trash Notification

Charliec

I posted this earlier, but in the wrong newsgroup - so here goes
again!

In Outlook 2007, is there a way to turn off the "Are you sure you want
to delete the items in the Trash Folder" notification. I have it set
to empty the folders, but do not need this notification on exit. I
looked through the email Options, but did not see any way to do this.

Thanks

Honestly, I think its better to either do it manually every so often or use
autoarchive to delete the messages for you - this setting can cause outlook
to not close properly and require it to check the pst when it restarts.

To disable the warning, go to tools, options, other tab, advanced button.
Warn before deleting option...

See http://www.outlook-tips.net/archives/2003/20030918.htm for the
autoarchive method. this works on junk email too.

Thanks, I missed that in my review.

Another question, in my current email program, Forte Agent, you have
the ability to set a number of days before deleting items from Trash -
I generally go 10 days to be able to recover recently deleting items
(very rare to do so). Is there a way to set # of days in Outlook to
keep Trash items?
