Outlook 03 is wiping out the message contents of my incoming e-ma.

I've just upgrade my system to the Student/Teacher edition of Office 2003.
I've downloaded all of the upgrades from the Microsoft site.

About half of my incoming e-mail has the message text area wiped out. I can
not see the information at all. I verified that the e-mail indeed does have
message text on my provider's webmail account, prior to transferring the
e-mails to my computer using Outlook. I did not have this problem before,
using Office 2000.

The only thing that shows up on these e-mails is the header. Some contain
graphic links and/or graphics. Some just appear to be an HTML e-mail.

Please help with any ideas of how to fix this.

Just rereading my e-mail, this comment:

Refers to the e-mails that I've verified on my webmail account. I can see
absolutely nothing when the same e-mail is transferred.

Thanks,

do you have an antispam program scanning incoming email? if so, disable it.

Diane,

This did not work. I am using Norton's System Works 2006 and did not have
a problem with it before. I have disabled the SPAM protection and tried
temporarily disbaling the "email scanning" function for spam and viruses.
I've lost more e-mails. I did not have this problem before upgrading. There
must be something going on in the 2003 version that I am not aware of. I did
restart my system after making the changes.

Any other suggestions before I lose any more e-mails? I certainly can't
leave myself unprotected by not scanning incoming e-mail. Also, the pattern
so far seems to be that it is e-mails that are html and would have contained
some type of graphic. From those e-mails, all that I get are the subject,
from and to e-mail addresses. Nothing appears below the line drawn after the
header information.

Thanks,
John

I noticed that others are having the same problem. There was a post made
after mine that suggested there was a view problem with "AVG", but I can not
even a reference to this.....very disconcerting. I can not afford to lose
e-mails like this...

There must be an answer why the message body disappears, and how I can stop
this from happening....
