The profile is messed up. You may be ok with the old one if you fix the
address book.
Tools, Email accounts, view or change address books - select the outlook
address book and click change. Remove the contacts folder(s) and close.
Right click on the contacts in your folder list (Ctrl+6 to view the contact
list) and choose properties. Enabled each folder you want to use as an
address list on the Address book tab.
Otherwise, go to control panel, mail to view the profile. See
http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/connect_pst.htm for help using the old
pst in a one profile. I would try the above first - only make a new profile
if you can't fix it or if you have other problems with outlook.

When I click to To button a window came up that said "The address list

be opened .... "
I did not make a new profile. I entered "profile" under help and selected
"Add an Outlook e-mail profile" which said "Open the Mail Setup dialog
box."
I couldn't find that. Where is it?

I recently installed Windows 7 and reinstalled Office 2003. Now when I
address an email by someone's name who is in my contact list, it does
not
recognize it to enter the email address. Ditto for a distribution list
name.
How do I get it to work correctly again (which it was doing under
Windows
XP)?
