Outllook 2003- Calendar / Notes

Help me out here!!!

I can create a note w/ ctrl/shift/n, but then it goes to the note pile and
never shows up on the calendar where I want it. So, when I print the
Calendar for the day, there is an empty note section.

How do I make it so the note will be with the day I want?????
 
The note section on the calendar is for handwritten notes. The notes in the
Notes folder aren't linked to days on the calendar. Only appointments and
such go on the calendar.
