All, I have a new computer with Vista and Window mail. I configured the pop
servers correctly, however I cannot send out mail. i keep getting this
error, any ideas? I also have disabled my mcaffee sec settings for mail. The
error is
One or more e-mail messages cannot be sent. The log states: Email scanning
has encountered a problem: This email cannot be sent. After you verify the
format of your recipient addresses, McAfee recomends that you resend those
messages.
Command received: 530 authentication required, for help goto this certian
yahoo address, and I did. However Yahoo sucks and was not helpful,
especially in customer service chat

I am having the same problem and I can't figure it out either. I hope someone
has the answer for us.

I'm afraid all the crystal balls are out of action at the moment so unless
you are particularly adept at channeling mind to mind, and at this time
I'm not picking up your messages and codes via vibes, you'll
need to post your error messages.

read this too...

Note. Disabling antivirus software such as Norton or McAfee uisn't
enough, they need to uninstalled and replaced by compatible products
such as Avast.

Disabling McAfee is not sufficient. It must be uninstalled completely.
After uninstalling your non-compatible antivirus, download
and install a more compatible antivirus like the free Avast:
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

Even compatible antivirus programs will need to have their
email scanning option turned off. For more on this topic see
http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3

If after uninstalling McAfee, your Windows Mail still doesn't
work properly, delete that account, restart WM, then recreate
that account. If you still get an error message, right-click on
it, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
