Outgoing mail does not use contacts

I have Outlook 2002. Occasionally when I am sending an e-
mail and type in the name of someone from my Contacts
list, the e-mail will show as recognizing the name, but it
will use an old e-mail address that is no longer in my
Contacts folder for that person. Any idea on where it is
picking up these old addresses and how I can clean them
out? Thanks, Keith
 
Probably in your autocompletion cache. Remove individual addresses from the
autocompletion cache by highlighting the entry when presented in the
suggested names list (use your arrow key to migrate to the entry) and then
hitting your Delete key before you tab out of the field. To clear the entire
cache, follow the instructions here:
