Hello,

I have been using Outlook Express 6 for ages ... and various outlooks before
that.

Last week I upgraded to OE 2003. It's certainly different .... but I've
started experiencing a problem I just can sort out.

I send a POP3 message to somebody (it appears to be just this one person),
they reply and I receive the reply. If that same person sends me a new
email to the same email address on the message they reply to the email
doesn't come through. I don't knowingly have any blocked senders and the
sender is double definitely using the same email address for me as the
messages that come back as replies.

For the first few days I did receive new emails from this person but now I
only receive the emails from them if they are replies to my own emails.

If the person sends a new email to my hotmail account (also read in OE 2003)
it comes through fine.

Hope that all makes sense.

Any ideas anybody?

Outlook 2003 (there is no such thing as "OE 2003") is not an "upgrade" for
Outlook Express. They are completely separate applications that can be used
simultaneously if you want.

Any error messages? How do yo know the problem isn't on their end and that,
while they THINK they're sending a new message to the same address, they
actually are not?

Brian,

Yes, I appreciate they are separate programs and can be run simultaneously.

How do I know they are using the correct address? Because it worked for the
first two days on Outlook 2003 .... but now its stopped working. They pick
my address form their contacts list and I've asked them what it says and it
says exactly the same as my address for wehen they reply to my email.

Any more thoughts?

If you're not receiving messages from them but you do receive messages from
others, then in the majority of cases it's the sender's problem. Without
knowing a good deal more about their setup, there's nothing you can do. Why
not invite them to post details here if they use Outlook for their mail
client.
