In Outlook 2007 on either Vista Business sp1 or XP Pro sp3, is there a way to
outdent folders and if so, how? Thanks.

Assuming I understood the Q correctly
Roady said:You can simply drag and drop the folder tree to another parent then. No need
to import/export anything.
Roady said:Select Smalltalk and drop it on the Inbox folder; subfolders will move with
its parent automatically.
When you are creating xnk-files, then you are dropping it outside of
Outlook.

Hi Roady,
Perhaps I explained it incorrectly, as I tried that and it didn't work. I
could not highlight multiple folders and when I tried to drag "Smalltalk"
to
the "temp" directory I got an entry in the "Temp" directory called
"Smalltalk.xnk" I did this from Outlook 2007 on my workstation. I have
not
yet done the removal and reinstall.
This is the tree view under "Mail". The highest folder is called
"Personal
Folders".
Best,
Larry

I think you did. Part of my tree looks like this:
Inbox
-Planning
--Plan Link
--Planning News
---Smalltalk
----Squeak
----Visual Smalltalk
The "Smalltalk" branch should have been indented under "Inbox", not
"Planning News". Do I have to live with this, or can I export all the
messages, delete the folders, redo the folders correctly, and finally
import
the messages.
Messages are sorted into folders via "Rules" which appear to be similar
to
"Filters" used under Thunderbird, so perhaps the rules need to be
redone
as
well, since the folders would be changing places.
Thank you.
