Operating system Windows XP. I am constantly getting the
message that my virtual memory is low and of course this
causes programs to close, etc., etc. Very frustrating! I
have 256 MB of Ram and tons of room on my hard drive. I am
constantly changing the paging file size and/or letting
Windows manage it. I have read that to solve this problem
I need to partition the hard drive(does this mean get
another hard drive) so as the paging file is not with the
operating system. Sounds like they made a big BOO BOO to
me! Does anyone else have this problem? Please reply!

Greetings Ginger,

I suggest you upgrade your RAM to at least 512MB :)

Thanks and best of luck!

I get this a lot, too; I just haven't spent the money on
more RAM yet like it was suggested to you. I have found
that the fewer things I have loaded automatically when I
start XP does help, but I know they are handy to have at
hand, too.
