Am attempting to burn DVD video with Nero Vision Express 3. Initially
attempted to use digital Sony8 movies captured in avi by MM2 then burn them
with Nero Vision Express 2 but my computer constantly froze. After reading
PapaJohns website, I readjusted certain parameters in the BIOS. Next I
updated my Nero programs to Nero Vision Express 3. Now I am able to capture
the video tapes with both the capture programs in MM2 (in avi) and Vision
Express. Both play back fine on the computer. However, when I attempt to
burn either the files captured by MM2 or Nero the sync of the audio tracks
gets further behind as the clip progresses so that by the end of the 2 or 3
minute clips, the sound is behind about 5 seconds or so.

What can I do to correct the audio sync?

Tom

I went to the TweakXP.com site recommended by PappaJohn for MM2 crashes and
hangs. I followed the three steps there, one of which was to go into the
BIOS settings and change the "Onboard Video Memory". I changed it from 64M
to 128M. As I said, that seemed to solve the crash-freezing problems.
However, my audio sync is now off. Any suggestions? Tom

Back to you JK..... I had quoted this from a post, putting it on my Problem
Solving > Crashes and Hangs page::

I'm very excited today because I got MM2 working! I'm keeping my fingers
crossed, but its been working for an hour, which is way longer than its ever
worked before.
I applied this tweak: http://www.tweakxp.com/display.aspx?id=1501

Basically its some NVIDIA/XP tweak that fixed my crashing/lockup problems.
Now I can generate WMV videos without trying 10 times. I was also able to
backout all the other changes that I made (disabling AX files, turning down
hardware acceleration). Before this fix I was only able to output AVI files.

So far so good! This may help a few of you out there since NVIDIA chipsets
are so common.

I also said that I'd like to hear from others who try it... and today's post
is the first.... as you know I'm not an expert in the detailed hardware end
of computers.... the URL stiill works if you want to assess it...

Not a hope in hell,

As I have always said...this is the problem with some one not being qualified
putting rubbish on their website without understanding the implications....LOL

So.......................... since I wouldn't know if the audio sync
problems were there before I made the adjustments that stopped the freezing,
and are there now when I try to burn DVDs with the avi capturing, what
suggestions does anyone have? :-)
