The following message appears when I try to add a new
printer: Out of Resources, Printer operation cannot
continue due to lack of resources. The print subsystem is
unavailable.

How do I access the print subsystem?

Hi
I have had the same problem this morning and used
Microsofts solution No. 244921 to resolve it.

I did also execute the spoolsv.exe in the c:\WINNT\SYSTEM32
\ directory to "kick start it"

There suggestion was to either start the print spooler by
typing net start spooler at the command prompt, or start
service under SERVICES in the computer management.

I hope this helps.
Apparently this is a know problem after installing
Microsoft Office 2000, which spots the print spooler.
