Hi Kyle,
In addition to the good advice posted in this thread, you should also
locate the driver CD that came with the monitor and install those
drivers for you monitor. If you don't have the CD, check their website.

| Has this just started happening straight away...?
|
| Have you changed your monitor lately and that caused it? If so - then its
| probable the newer monitor doesn't support the games were previously set to
| use.
|
| If you've got an ATI or nVidia graphics card and the full set up drivers
| installed, then you should be able to override the refresh in their control
| panels. Usually by right-clicking the desktop, clicking properties,
| clicking settings, then advanced.
|
| Have a look around for override refresh rate, or similar - if it's a flat
| screen LCD monitor than it's probably best to set it to 60hz.
|
| If that doesn't work - uninstalling and reinstalling the games, or deleting
| their config files (I'm not sure if either have any that can be easily
| accessed) *should* force the games to go back to a safe refresh rate.
