Out of office rules only are applying to inhouse
(exchange) mailboxes and not outside email. When somebody
in the outside world sends me an email, they do not get
a "out of office" response, but if another user on my
network emails me, it works fine. Any ideas? Outlook
2002 with on exchange 2000.

Thanks.

Automatic replies to the Internet are disabled by default in Exchange 5.5
and later. You'll need to ask your Exchange administrator if he/she is
willing to change this.

appreciate it.

Thank you.

Nevermind, i found the checkbox. Thanks anyway.

For those who would like to know:

This is governed by a setting on the server to disallow automatic external
messages. You'll have to talk to the Exchange administrator, but don't
expect a chagne.
