Out of Office Asssistant

While out of the office recently I activated the Out of
Office Assistant in Outlook to advise anyone that sent me
an email that I was out of the office. I know it was
working since I received an out of office message at my
home when I sent a message to myself at the office.

However, at least two people told me that they never
received the responsive message when they sent me a
message. One of those is located in Chile and the other
is in Colombia. Is there some reason that they would not
get the out of office message? Is it working properly?
Is it possible that they did not get the response because
they are outside of the U.S.? (That doesn't make much
sense to me.)
 
Since you received an OoO message at home it should be working properly. I
guess (spam)filters at the two receipients (offices?) prevented proper
delivery of your OoO message. Have you checked with other people that had
send you a message if they received the OoO message? Loation doesn't matter
indeed.
