I have followed the instructions from the office assistant to enable the 'Out of Office' feature in my tools menu in outlook but am having no joy. Can anyone help - Many thanks

Hi Mik

I'm just trying the same thing, and can't even find "Auto Reply" botton. If I find any thing I'll let you know, please do the same (To my direct e-mail

Thank you

If you are in an Exchange environment (ask your administrator if you do
notknow) you can set the Out of the Office Assistant which is located under
Tools.

If you are not in an Exchange environment you can create a rule that replies
on all e-mails. The downside of this is that you'll have to have your
Outlook open all the time for the rules to process. Make sure you set some
exceptions (for instance based on the subject field so it will not reply on
subject with e.g. reply, failed, undeliverable, etc...) otherwhise you could
create endless mailloops between two mailservers and those can be a real
threat to the mailservers!

still struggling to find it. Its not on the tools menu. I work from home and have several email accounts. I collect remotely through various IP addresses. Why would the feature not be present in Outlook and is there anyway I can download it or find it

Thanks

Unless you connect directly to an Exchange Server then you won't have
it.....
