Out of Disk Space Errors/Computer Accounts Not Found

Hi All

Since upgrading our NT 4.0 domain to Active Directory I've
had some random and rather strange problems. For example,
I'll get "Out of Disk Space" messages when I clearly have
502MB of space left on the main OS drive and 1.5GB left on
an alternate drive. Applying Service Pack 4 actually
makes this worse. Also, I arrived at the office this
morning to find some (not all) users getting a message to
the effective of "Cannot log on, this computers account
can not be found in this domain" or something similar
depending on the situation. Logging in to the local
machine and rejoining them to DOMAIN rather then the new
domain.com seems to have fixed that. I'm ready to roll
back to NT at this point :) Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Nevermind, the first issue was because I didn't realize
the PDC requires that much space to be free, the second
was a DNS issue.

Can you post some of the error messages from the event logs of the Win2K
boxes to help with this mystery.

Were the W2k workstations upgraded from NT4? Does the "can't log on"
problem occur on boxes that have a clean install of W2K rather than an
upgrade?

The "out of disk space" message occurs on the workstations? What are they
doing when that error appears?

Well, the error logs are cleared and I opted not to save
them since I resolved both issues (I'm pretty sure). The
workstations were not upgraded, they were clean installs.
Only the PDC was an upgrade from 4.0 to 2000 for purposes
of moving to Active Directory. The can't log on issues no
longer happens since they all now look ONLY to the PDC for
DNS and WINS info. The out of disk space thing was
happening because I was falling near 400MB of free space
which, apparently just isn't good for a WIN2K PDC. Thanks
for the concearn, though :)
