When I try to install a new program I get a message that
some files are out of date on my system, click ok if I
want set up to update files now. Even though I click ok
the files are not updated. How can I find out which files
are out of date and how do I update them. I think the
file is MSVBVM60.DLL but this may be one of the program
files.

The behaviour that your are describing is by design. If a new version of a
file is available to program promts whether to update the old version or
not. Could you provide more details, please?
What files did you have the message about and how do you know that the files
were not updated. Also it would be helpful to know what application you are
trying to install.

Yuriy,

I am attemping to laod a purchased data base program
which is MS Access based. When I run the installation the
first action is to copy 7 files, at the 7th file
MSVBVM60.DLL I get the message 'setup cannot continue
because some files are ot of date on your system. Click
OK if you would like setup to update these files now'. I
click OK the restart the PC. When I try the installation
again the same message appears which is why I assume the
file has not been updated. Hope this helps with a
solution.
