I just installed Office 2003 and set everything up. I had a problem with
Outlook 2003 email not showing up photos in web pages. For example, i get
newsletters that are HTML format, but the images don't show up. How do I fix
that?

But, then I didn't know how to run the news reader. I searched the help and
it said to add the button to the toolbar, so I tried. I drug it as it said
to the "GO" menu, but now its not in the go menu, and its not in the list of
items to add. Where did it go? I tried resetting all toolbars and menus, but
still nothing.

How do I fix this?

This is is a security feature. Do as the instruction on the broken image
tells you: right-click on the image and select the Download Picture item.
However, if you cannot live with this security restriction then you can
override it by:
1. Select the Options... item of the Tools menu
2. click the Security tab of the Options dialog.
3. select the Internet item from the Zone drop-down list.
4. click OK to close the dialog.

Check my reply to a post whose subject is Newsgroup. It is just 3 posts
above yours.

I am also a new Outlook 2003 and my suggestion about changing the
Zone to Internet is not a safe way to fix your problem. However, I saw
there is a Change Automatic Download Settings button on the Options
dialog. So you should click on it and uncheck some of the checkboxes to
fix your problem instead.
