Hi,
I have powerpoint 2007 and whenever I add a jpeg file to a presentation and
send it to other people they see an X instead of the picture. this happens
always, on PC or mac and with several different versions of office. but if I
also send them the original jpeg files and they save them on their computer,
they can see my presentation fine. they don't need to add the jpegs to the
presentation but it's enough that they just save the jpeg. there is no
problem with graphs that I copy from excel, or with text.
what could be the problem? are the pictures somehow linked to the original
files?
thanks

Sounds like one of you needs to reduce the security settings in Outlook
Express, or other....
Click Tools then Options then the security tab.
In that window, untick all except the, "Internet Zone", and "Warn me when
etc".
Next, click the Send tab then the HTML settings tab next to "Mail sending
Format" (HTML)
Make sure the "Send pictures with message" box is ticked.
Any one of these settings, and more could cause your problem, so give it a
try...

How are you inserting the pictures in the 2007 file?

Also, are you sending the others a 2007 format file (PPTX), or are you
"backsaving" to the 97-2003 (PPT) format?
