You removed some software with out using Control panel>add/remove software.
The system is looking for the software to load at strt-up and when it can't
find it, you get such a message.

powrprof.dll refers to the LoadPowerProfile in the registry. If you
are having problems with this, it would probably be best to check the
device manager for devices with a yellow apostrophe or red X next to
it. If found, remove them and re-boot the computer.

WINSPOOL.DRV refers to one of your devices (hardware). This could be
either a network card, printer etc etc. Again, check the Device
Manager for any problem devices (identified by a yellow apostrophe (!)
or red X).

If any problem devices are found, remove them and re-start the
computer.

To access the device manager, right click My Computer, select
Properties, then click the Device Manager tab.

I used to recieve some strange booting errors when I uninstalled the
Borland 4.5 C++ compiler.

It apparently left an entry in some system
ini file or something about a DLL. When windows loaded (if it loaded,
I can't remember), it was still trying to load the DLL even though the
software was uninstalled.

You can try to find a file containing a
reference to powrprof.dll and remove it.
Or else just put it back where it was before.
Search the registry, also.
