OT-What is best way to catpture audio from cassette tape?

I've mudded around with WME and got one success... old tape deck is still
phono-ed to mic-in.... don't seem to be able to reproduce same results....

Must be easy?

If you have Plus! Digital Media Edition, there's a really good Analog Audio
Capture utility included in that. I probably use it several times a week.
Alternatively download the trial edition of Adobe Audition which will work
for (I think) 30 days)
