I just installed 1.0 and I see yEnc messages as text, do I need to do
something to activate support?

Does it support yEnc decoding? If so, why doesn't it work?
^^^

Uh, I don't think it automatically assembles multi-parts
for decoding.

You might want to try a separate dedicated usenet client
for assembling binaries automatically for download. GRAVITY
is one such freebie that does this easily without you having
to highlight the separate parts .. it works by clicking on
just the lead segment if all sections are available. On the
other hand, another client is XNEWS, which works reasonably,
but you have to highlight all parts manually. I prefer
GRAVITY since I have had no problems with voluminous downloads
of many segments each. XNEWS has griped about this kind of
load many times, and either froze or crashed while I was
gone from the computer.

Unfortunately, in my case it refuses to decode even one-part yEnc messages.
I got it to work with yProxy, but in that case, I can use OE as well.

What is happening is that people are creating multi-part postings that
require only one post. Just one more thing that is broken about yEnc, IMHO.

The Mozilla family does not support multi-part, regardless of the actual
number of parts.
