OT: Right click file menu in XP offers "wrong" items

Hello!

I don't know what happened, but when I make a right click on the desktop
and select "New" from the menu, the files I am offered have changed. I
am used to create new txt files like that, but the item "Text document"
has been replaced by another file type. Does anybody know how to change
this?

Does this question have anything to do with the C# programming language?
 
No...but in his defense, his use of "OT" in the title suggests that this may
be "off-topic"
