Is there a website that has downloadable reg files for uninstalling
changes made by programs? People could contribute reg files for
installations they have monitored.

This thought in rememberance of Karen S. (omega), RIP, who had a custom
install and uninstall reg file for every program she owned.

That's a good idea. But what about two programs that install the same DLL
or registry value? If you did the uninstall for the first program, and
removed the DLL or the registry value, the second program that depended on
the same DLL or registry value might not run. I guess this is a problem
that any uninstall program has to deal with, and they have found ways to
handle it.

Quick fix would be to reinstall the nonfunctioning program. I would
move dependent files out of the windows folder or wherever and try
putting them into the same folder as the executable. Everything but
shell toys has a very high chance of running standalone (with no prior
registry entries). Examples of shell toys:

caseconvert
button boogie
attribute changer
copyurl
folderjazz
quick folders
daemon tools
