Is there any way to download this program and use it without installing the
6.4 Media Player? I am running XP Pro with Media Player 9 and have no idea
whether installing two players would be good for the system or not. As a
last alternative, is it possible to download and install the program, then
uninstall the Media Player 6.4 or is the whole package tied together?

Thanks for any advice,
Carolyn

It installs media player classic - which is a benign little guy that won't
interfere with MP (it looks like 6.4, but is quite different).

The answer to your first question is "Yes." During the QTA installation
process you will be given the option to install it or not. Just uncheck the
box next to Media Player Classic. It will not be installed.

As to your last question, even if you do install MPC, it will not adversely
affect any other media players you might also have installed. However, if
you prefer, you can still uninstall MPC w/o affecting QTA in any way. They
are not a whole package tied together, but rather independent components.
