I just installed a 2400 amd xp and an asus a7n8x-x motherboard into a
new case.
Fresh harddrive or harddrive with xp while booting gives me a
"warning new cpu have been installed" then freezes.
I cant get into the bios ect.
What can i do? Where may the problem be???
Thanks in advance
I'd suggest clearing the BIOS first. Make sure your power supply is off -
flip the switch on the back. Then press the power button on the computer.
Just to make sure. Then move the Jumper to clear the BIOS. Leave it in the
clear position for a few seconds.
If this doesn't work, try holding down the insert key when you power up.
This sometimes bypasses the BIOS settings and will allow you too get into
the BIOS.
