I just discovered the Power Collections library
(http://www.wintellect.com/PowerCollections.aspx), and I'm wondering if any
of you have used it. If so, would you recommend it to others? If you have
evaluated it and decided to NOT use it, I'd like to know why if you don't
mind sharing.

FWIW: I'm not associated in any way with Wintellect.com. Just wanting some
perspective on this library from those of you who may have used it or
decided to not use it.

Thanks!

I'm aware of it, but haven't used it beyond simple tests. For my
application, I needed only a single specialized container, which wasn't
exactly like any of the ones in the PowerCollections library, so while I
like many of the things in it, I chose to not take a dependency on yet
another 3rd party library just to get one container. If I needed a larger
portion of what the library has to offer I might have used it.

You might also want to look into the C5 collections library at
http://www.itu.dk/research/c5/. I haven't used C5 either, but it looks to
be a very complete, well designed and well tested library.

Hello Merk,

I used it, and had a pretty close look at it, when it was still in
development. When they prepared to release version 1, there was a lot of
discussion about the license under which the library would be made
available, and while I can't remember the details, I do remember that many
people were less than satisfied with the decision that was finally made.

I'm not saying this to dissuade you from using Power Collections, just to
suggest having a close look at the license, something that is often easily
forgotten.
