I could not find the appropriate ng that has any kind of size as this. But
I figure someone here has to have a Playstation 2...right?

Anyways, my boss has a birthday tommorrow and is a computer illiterate to
the 10th degree. He only will play his PS2 rig. He uses it actually more
for DVD playback than games. That is when I saw a remote control for ps2
dvd playback. My question is this: If he has the first generation model of
the system, will the dvd remote even work? I doubt the original model had
an IR remote on it. Or is it something that can be plugged into the usb
port etc........

Sorry for the OT, I'm googling in the meantime to find out. At 15$, I guess
its worth the effort (with return rebate). Two Energizer batteries almost
cost as much as the remote sometimes!

thanks group,
SL

the dvd remote was originally a plug-in device for a joypad port. on the
later models of ps2 it was built in. all remote`s should work with all ps2`s
AFAIK.

Thank you Mr Pick,

I see they would of had a disclaimer if it was to not work with some
systems. He currently uses the typical remote with an extension cable. Not
bad, but as soon as you lay the remote on a table it falls off. That is
because the remote is 1/2 pound in weight compared to the 40 lbs of cable
dragging it to the floor!

thanks again,
sl
