It probably shouldn't bare the "HOSTS" name per se. A list of IP
addresses had been compiled and introduced in v1.40 according to
Dustin Cook from Malwarebytes. This list serves the optional IP
blocking feature in the MBAM Full version.
No user simple or casual method of adding/deleting is available
without going through MBAM's "IP Master". However, as many know, the
database updates for MBAM are released more than once per day and
often as frequently as required. So amendments to the IP list are
just as frequent I suspect.
In trying to nail down the sources of input, Dustin stated that the
original IPs to be blocked did *NOT* come only from:

But that more than one source was used. I'm a MBAM beta tester but
I'm not testing any advanced version right now.
