Been happy using ATI in the past, but been reading good things about
the latest SiS cards. Very "cheap" too.
Anyone have any experiences/opinions to share?
TIA

You want to play current or upcoming games with it, if so forget it?
If you have an 8500 or better ATI card there aren't any SiS cards that
measure up well against an 8500/9000.

According to the SiS web site their latest and greatest Xabre 600 GPU is
"ready to be blown into the weeds". That pretty well sums it up. A
rare example of honesty in advertising.

If you read the specs you'll find that it's antiquated. Performance is
in the same ballpark as the Geforce MX440 and the Radeon 9000--a little
better in some instances, a little worse in others.

Yeah I was looking else where too,,,,but they aren't near the R&D that N and A have done.

Don't know about their latest cards, but all SiS cards I had seen in the
past were really the bottom of the barrel.

That seems to be the prevailing opinion.
It's just that I was reading reviews of their latest card (I forget
what it was called) on "THEIR Website," and it got rave reviews.
The price was very cool.
But I'm not going to be the first to try it.
;-)
Thanks,
Friday
