You have the little check box that says 'play sounds' ticked?

Offcourse i checked the box that says sound, and ticked it. On my my 1st
post i said i had mozilla, where in reality im using mozila firebird 6.0,
furthermore, when i play yahoo pool using explorer as my browser there's no
problems full sound, so it couldn't be my computer configuration.

Then you should have said so in your first post. Information is required to
assist, the more the better.

It's good to see you're back to reality.

Then what happened to "it doesnt work w explorer niether"?
so it couldn't be my
computer configuration.

Of course not, there was never a chance that it was. That's why I asked
about the check-box. You wouldn't believe some of the stoners we get coming
in here asking off-topic questions. Some of them seem to think this is IM or
chat and don't even capitalise the 'I''s etc. and their grammar is
atrocious.

Yahoo pool uses Java, the problem is with the version of Java that Firebird
is using.

Thanks for the imput misfit, ill update my java for firebird , but how come
the sound worked fine just a week ago using firebird, anyways thanks.

I'm not sure on that one, Java is a funny thing. Maybe you updated something
else that effected it?

Hi misfit, i hope im not confusing you lol, but as to playing pool ,using
firebird as my browser java works great , no problems, just no sound, so
java even handles the sound, mmm didnt know that.

I'm sure Java handles the sound as well. After all, you say sounds work in
pool using IE and the difference is what version of Java Virtual Machine it
uses. Have you tried updating Java for Firebird?

Last time i tried to update the java in firebird, i couldnt find the way to
do it, have any ideas, tia .

If you're using windows download JVM from sun microsystems and run the exe.
It should give you the option of which browser you want to use it with. I
think.

Yea, i installed java with Winblows, thru my firebird browser yesturday,
but at the end of installation, it didnt give me the option to choose
between browsers, by the way yahoo pool sound still does not work under
firebird.

All I can tyhink then is there may be a setting in 'options' or something
similar with firebird that says 'play sounds' that may be unticked.

Other than that I'm all out of ideas.

Hi misfit, thanks for your help, before moving to my new place i used linux
all the time, i forgot that in winblow$ (especially ME lol), when you
install anything you have to reboot in order for the program to work lol.
Everything is fine and dandy now, thanks again !

That and you have to remember that IE uses it's own version of JVM so if
you have at least version 1.4 then everything should work fine.. Just
check in the actual applet itself for sound options..

Umm.. Yeah download the new version from sun and install it!

I just remembered there's a faq on mozilla.org that deals with plug-ins
in firebird.. Try looking that up and it should point you in the right
direction..
